The Braidwood Times, first published in 1858, can boast being the first daily newspaper in regional NSW. Published each Wednesday, it covers Braidwood and the surrounding villages of Aruluen, Majors Creek, Mongarlowe and Nerriga, with some readership across the Palerang Shire into Bungendore, Captains Flat, Tarago and Queanbeyan. The Braidwood Times focus is to continue supporting the thriving rural farming community which includes a strong cultural sector.
